Welcome
The Research Centre for Natural Sciences and the Diamond Congress Ltd. as co-organisers have the pleasure to invite you to the Fifth Central European Symposium on Plasma Chemistry (5th CESPC), which will be held in Balatonalmádi, Hungary, 25-29 August 2013.
CESPC is an international symposium, visited by scientists from all over the world. It is supported by the Central European Initiative, CEI, a forum of regional co-operation in Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe, counting 18 member states.
The previous four events of CESPC have been held in the following locations:
- 2006 Gdańsk, Poland
- 2008 Brno, Czech Republic
- 2009 Kyiv, Ukraine
- 2011 Zlatibor, Serbia
CESPC is focused on presenting the latest results and exchanging new ideas in the field of applications of plasmas for materials processing, surface modification, medicine, environmental protection and related areas, with emphasis on plasma chemistry.
The main aim of the symposium is to accelerate the development of plasma-based technologies, dedicated to areas including environmental protection and improvement of quality of life.
The four-day format of the symposium provides excellent opportunities for both formal presentations and informal discussions.
Main topics of the Symposium:
- Fundamental problems
- Modelling and diagnostics
- New materials
- Energy technologies
- Environmental protection
- Bio and medical plasma technologies
- Surface processes
- Nanostructured materials
- Related topics
To prolong the lifetime of the symposium, participants are offered the option to publish their contributions as full papers in a thematic issue of Central European Journal of Chemistry (peer-reviewed international journal, impact factor is about 1, no page charges).
Your participation at the symposium would greatly contribute to the success of this event, and the Organising Committee looks forward to meeting you at the 5th CESPC.
